This page is a template we wrote ourselves, not a document reviewed by a lawyer. Treat it as a starting point, not finished legal advice.

1. Who we are

Fightin.gg ("we", "us") runs the Fightin.gg tournament platform. This policy explains what information we collect from you, why we collect it, and what choices you have. If you have questions, contact us at support@fightin.gg.

2. Information we collect

When you create an account and use Fightin.gg, we collect:

Account details you give us: name, email address, username, date of birth, and country.
A profile picture, either one you upload or one provided by a sign-in option you use (such as Discord or Google).
If you choose to sign in with or link Discord, Google, or Steam, the basic profile information those services share with us (such as your handle, display name, and avatar).
Tournament activity: the events you create, join, organize, or moderate, and the matches and results associated with your account.
Standard technical information (such as browser type and IP address) collected automatically when you use the site, for security and reliability purposes.

3. How we use your information

To create and secure your account, and to keep you signed in between visits.
To run tournaments: registration, brackets, check-in, match results, and standings.
To show your profile and activity to other users where the product is designed to be public (such as brackets and rosters).
To send you notifications about tournaments you are part of, if you have them enabled.
To keep the platform secure and to investigate abuse or violations of our Terms of Service.

4. Cookies

We use cookies that are necessary to keep you signed in and to remember basic preferences. With your permission, we may also use analytics cookies to understand how the site is used. You can choose whether analytics cookies are allowed, and change your choice at any time, from Cookie Settings. We do not currently use cookies for advertising.

5. Sharing your information

We do not sell your personal information. We share information only:

With other users, where the product is designed to show it (profiles, rosters, brackets, match history).
With sign-in providers you choose to use (Discord, Google, Steam), as needed for that connection to work.
Where required by law, or to protect the rights, safety, and security of Fightin.gg or our users.

6. Payments

Fightin.gg does not currently process payments or store payment information.

7. Your choices

You can update most of your profile information from your account settings at any time. You can unlink a connected sign-in provider (such as Steam) from your account settings. To request deletion of your account and associated data, contact support@fightin.gg.

8. Children's privacy

Fightin.gg is not directed at children under 13, and we ask that you not use the service if you are under that age.

9. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy at any time. Changes take effect as soon as they are posted on this page. If you continue to use Fightin.gg after a change is posted, you accept the updated policy.
